About Carmen

This is my beautiful family, taken shortly after our little one was born.

Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to find out about me. I think of social networking sites like this as a major blessing because of how far our reach of influence is extended. Can you imagine life before the internet and social networking? Yes, I don't remember it either, hehe. I've met and have been influenced by some amazing people that I probably would never have crossed paths with had it not been for this E-world.

Our family in 2011, our little guy at about 8 months old.

I am El Salvador born, and California raised! I've been married to my amazing husband, Mike, for over 3 years; and we have a beautiful little boy named Andrew who was born October 2010. I am a Christian girl that loves the Lord and who doesn't want to imagine where I would be had He not taken hold of my life and steered my in the right direction. I look at my life and can't help but know that He has definitely found favor in me, because I find myself saying that I truly don't deserve the blessings that He's placed upon my life. It's a good thing God doesn't base what He does on my personal opinion, right?

I've dabbled in various areas of work in life. Most of my work background is in Residential Property management, and I've also have an acting and modeling resume. However, when Andrew was 8 months old, I stepped outside of the box and partnered with a phenomenal Networking Marketing company with such an amazing business ethic and culture. I am now growing my international organization 10 hours a week at a time. This business has given me a freedom that I would have never been able to to experience in the corporate world. I get to be home with my son, and for my husband; I am able to go back to school to finish up my degree, it has opened my eyes to a passion that I did not realize I would ever have until I had gained over 60 lbs with the birth of my son, it's allowed me to get healthy and in turn pursue a role of helping others get healthy too, it's given me the time freedom to pursue a background in fitness with Zumba and others to come (and to do it because I enjoy it, rather than because I need its income stream!), and it's allowing me to plan for giving my sweet husband (an automotive mechanic)  the option to do whatever he would dream of doing! Arbonne's been a blessing in my life, and it has challenged me to grow so much in the last year and a half.

My hope for this blog is to help someone out there, and to even be there for someone in an indirect way. I truly feel that life experiences, beliefs, and values connect people, both known and unknown. This blog is about my life as a child of God, a wife, a mother, a friend, and entrepreneur. It's about experiencing joys, struggles, frustrations, tears, laughter, and everything else this life may bring. I'm learning to use my time here wisely, and each day I am learning something new that maybe someone else may benefit from.

Thank you for taking the time to read A Woman's Road!

And to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!"
